Stewards: For the festival to run smoothly we need up to 45 stewards on duty at any one time, which means that over 150 people need to be involved to run a shift system. We are therefore happy to recruit volunteers to join the team.

Aims:

To ensure that the event runs smoothly.

To impress festival-goers with our helpfulness & competence and the authorities with our ability to operate a safe and smooth-running event.

Stewards are the eyes and ears of event control and cover all aspects of crowd safety, whilst also being sources of information and directions to visitors.

All stewards must be 18 years old or over on the day of the festival. There is no upper age limit. Please be aware that details of stewards are passed to the police.

You will be able to attend the festival for free but we will require a deposit to be paid which will be fully refundable on completion of your tasks. As a general guideline you will be asked to carry out three six hour shifts over the Friday - Monday of the festival. You will also be required to arrive on the Wednesday afternoon to undergo training (Some stewards may be able to arrange Thursday arrivals). Please make sure you are able to fulfil these requirements before applying.
